About IDA Education Awards 2024

IDA Education Awards recognise the outstanding contributions made by Educational Institutions pursuing new opportunities, engaging in continuous innovation, and exhibiting a high degree of accountability for quality education.
Important Dates:

Important Points:
  • Kindly note that nomination in IDA Education Awards is OPEN ONLY for Education Institutions operating and having a registered entity in India
  • The Awards are NOT OPEN for Individual Educators/Corporate Entities
  • There is No Entry Fee or any financials involved for the Nomination in IDA Education Awards 2024
  • Please make sure all the details are accurately and completely entered
  • Applicants can nominate themselves or nominate an Education Institution: An Institute can nominate another School/College/Education institute, if they believe that the nominee deserves recognition. The nominator should be familiar with the nominee’s work and accomplishments. The nominator can put across the Institution Name and its details to the Awards Management Team for further processing
In case of Self Nomination:
  • You are eligible to enter in more than one segment and sub-category/categories, as long as the work submitted meets the criteria
  • If you are applying for multiple segments (E.Ed/ K.12 Ed/ H.Ed) and different sub-categories in the same/or different segment, then please fill separate forms and provide relevant documents separately
  • You may keep editing your entry until the entry deadline. Please use Save as Draft option for saving any changes while filling the entry
  • Participation in IDA-EA 2024 is subject to defined terms and conditions available on the website awards.indiadidac.org

Eligibility Criteria:
  1. The Eligibility Criteria is listed under 3 Broad Groups. Kindly select the group for which your institution is eligible. The groups determine the criteria that jury shall use to assess the works / level of the institution for a fair comparison
    • Group A: comprising of those educational institutions which have been in operation for 5 years or less (as on March 31, 2024) and have plans to grow further
    • Group B: comprising of educational institutions which have been in operation for more than 5 years. These could be individual or as a group under the name of the parent institution. It must have one graduated class in India as on March 31, 2024
    • Group C: comprising of institutions (public or private) which have completed more than 10 years of their operations in India and/or abroad (as on March 31, 2024). It also includes those institutions which operate as a large group under the name of the parent institution
  2. If you are applying for multiple segments(E.Ed/ K.12 Ed/ H.Ed) and different sub-categories in the same/or different segment, then please fill separate forms and provide relevant documents separately
  3. Participating Institutions must be engaged primarily in providing education and/or training
  4. Employees and immediate family members of the award management, sponsors and partners of the awards are not allowed to participate in the Awards
  5. An Institution can participate independently or on behalf of its parent Institution, sister units or other Institutions under the umbrella brand
  6. The final eligibility of the Institution will be subject to the discretion and approval of the IDA-EA 2024 organising committee
  7. Participation in IDA-EA 2024 is subject to defined terms and conditions available on the website (awards.indiadidac.org/)
  8. Only if all the information provided is correct and complete, will the nomination be accepted

Judging Criteria:

The Judging process for the IDA Education Awards 2024 involves 3 stages of evaluation:

  • Round 1: Online Application & Shortlisting:
    • In this initial stage, participants are required to submit their applications online
    • All the nominations are collated and reviewed to determine if they meet the eligibility criteria, based on the application and documentation provided
  • Round 2: Online Jury Round:
    • IDA Education Awards has a renowned and strong panel of 150+ online Jury Members
    • Each nomination is evaluated by 5-7 online Jury Members, based on the judging parameters
    • Based on the evaluations of all jury members, the Finalists are determined by calculating a weighted average score in each category
  • Round 3: Grand Jury Selection:
    • The Grand Jury comprises of distinguished personalities from the global education and skills sector
    • The Grand Jury members evaluate all the finalists based on the judging parameters
    • Based on the evaluations of the Grand Jury, the Winners are determined by calculating a weighted average score in each category

Overall, these three stages form a comprehensive evaluation process that ensures fairness and quality in selecting the winners of the IDA Education Awards.

The IDA Education Awards use 6 Judging parameters to evaluate the entries. The weightage for each parameter within an award segment/category varies according to the Award applied for:

  • Documentation & Supporting Evidence: Completeness of form and presentation of documentation and evidence
  • Intent: Alignment of intent based on the Award category
  • Innovation: Uniqueness/creativity/adaptability in approaches or solutions
  • Implementation: Effective & successful execution and process
  • Impact: Measuring Outcomes
  • Scalability:: Potential for long-term sustenance/ replicability / reusability/ continuity

Process:
  • Please ensure that all the Eligibility and Judging criteria are met
  • IDA-EA 2024 Nomination Categories and entry details will be announced through the IDA website, a personalised e-mail, and digital marketing campaigns on the IDA’s social media handles to prospective nominees in all categories
  • Details and nomination form can be found from the awards.indiadidac.org/
  • All entrants must submit their entry online. Please note that all entries must be in English
  • Applicants can either apply for themselves or nominate a peer education institution for application
    • Self-Nomination: Education Institutions can nominate themselves in either of the category they wish to apply for
    • Nomination by a Peer Institution: An Institute can nominate a peer School/College/Education institute if they believe that the nominee deserves recognition. The nominator should be familiar with the nominee’s work and accomplishments. The nominator can put across the Institution Name and its details to the Awards Management Team for further processing
  • All entries are to be made by the legal owner/head of the institution and are required to submit nominations with all details and supporting material latest by 12th July 2024
  • If the entry is not submitted by the legal owner/head of the Institution, then the submitter must have permission to submit the application on behalf of the Owner/Head (for example consultants working on behalf of entrants, marketing or PR departments)
  • Besides academic achievements of the students, the entries should demonstrate innovation, imagination, impact, future readiness and efforts to develop students in ways that go beyond the realms of a classroom
  • Please ensure that all the fields in the nomination form are correct and complete. The following details MUST be a part of your Nomination:
    • Details of the Nominee & and Nominating Authority including; Name, Designation, Name of the Institution/Organisation and Contact information (postal address, Telephone / Mobile, Email)
    • Number of Years the Institution has been in operation
    • Number of Employment positions in the organisation
    • Awards and Recognitions received by the organisation (individual and/or as a group)
    • Testimonials if available, can be submitted additionally (written/video)
    • All relevant Supporting Evidence for the category/categories applied for
    • If you wish to include video/videos as supporting evidence, you will need to supply the web links to where the video is hosted
  • Nomination forms are checked for eligibility, completeness and data correctness
  • IDA-EA 2024 Online & Grand Jury, comprising of distinguished personalities in the field of Education, Global Higher Education experts and Industry leaders, will score based on their assessment of the nominees.
    Decision of the Jury shall be final and binding.

The names of the winners will be announced at the gala Awards Ceremony on 18th September 2024, to be held at Yashobhoomi, India International Convention & Expo Centre, New Delhi with the annual congregation of Didac India and The International Education & Skill Summit (TIESS) from 18th – 20th September 2024.


Preparing Your Entry:

To help you make an Effective & Successful Entry, here are some TIPS to assist you in writing a compelling entry for the IDA Education Awards 2024

Answer all the Questions Judiciously

  • Make sure you read all the criteria set out on the entry form with utmost care!
  • Read the questions carefully, and ensure you target your answers to the question
  • Keep focused and ensure all information is relevant

Follow the Instructions Completely

  • You must match your entry as closely as possible against the criteria asked for. Entries that do not match the majority of the criteria will not be considered
  • Adhere to the Word count mentioned. The judges are on a deadline too and would be keen to read a concise copy
  • Keep within the upload sizes requested
  • Adhere to stipulated uploading formats
  • Complete the nomination form in its entirety
  • Submit before the closing date!

Communicate with Utmost Precision & Clarity

Remember the judges will be looking through hundreds of entries, so:

  • Be concise, clear and focused – with clean, easy-to-digest copy
  • Make it easy for them to make sense of your entry
  • Create a narrative, and make your submission a good read
  • Avoid jargon, inflated claims, unexplained acronyms and unedited copy-and-pasting
  • Do not just print the pages from your website for the judges to read. Remember, it is not about the quantum but the quality & correct format of the material submitted

Include Enough Supporting Evidence & Documentation

  • Provide all necessary back-up material
  • Include all information and resources that the judges will need to give your entry a fair hearing
  • Please try and obtain up to date Testimonials, Videos, Facts & Figures
  • Make sure the supporting material backs up your claims in the main submission
  • Where necessary, validate your claims to enable the judges to evaluate their impact

Make the Information Easily Accessible

  • The words of your submission form should be the main focus and thrust of your entry
  • Consider creating short URLs and avoid links to lengthy websites.

Delegate the work

  • Designate someone in your Institution as the Awards coordinator – responsible for collating information, contacting referred end users, consulting colleagues, checking facts, writing the initial draft and keeping an eye on timeline and deadline

Do Not Rush! Leave Enough Time

  • Enter early – a last minute rush is likely to impact on the quality of your submission
  • Allocate yourself more time than you think you will need

Proofread – a Must!

  • When the basics are finalised give it to the best writer in your Institution to polish
  • Typos can make a good submission look disordered
  • Thoroughly check spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Using these guidance notes will not guarantee success, but it will give your entry the best possible chance of making compelling reading for the judging panel

Terms & Conditions:

The IDA Education Awards 2024 would be decided by certain procedures and rules governing the evaluation of the entries:

  • All nominations must be submitted by 12 July 2024, to be considered for the IDA Education Awards
  • Nominations can be filled in more than one category as long as the applications are tailored specifically to show evidence of their relevance to each
  • The length of the submission is limited (see max word count on the entry form)
  • Supporting material may be uploaded via the upload facility on the entry form
  • IDA reserves the rights to use all or part of any material (research material, data collected, photographs, news coverage or any other such details) related to IDA-EA 2024 for future use or any publicity campaign
  • All entries will be stored securely on our website and access to these by Judges will be strictly monitored
  • In the event that no application in a category is found to be worthy of inclusion by the Jury, IDA reserves the rights to cancel any award in a particular category if required. The Jury may decide to add nominees in the category to maintain high standards of participation
  • IDA reserves the right to withdraw and/or alter any of the terms & conditions at any time without prior notice
  • There is NO FEES for Nomination for IDA-EA 2024 in any category. However, the Finalists will be expected to make voluntary contribution towards their event travel and stay expenses
  • The decision of the jury will be final and binding. The Awards management will not entertain any queries in this regard
  • By participating in the IDA-EA 2024, Participant agrees to abide by and be bound by these Terms as mentioned. If there is any disagreement with any of the Terms and any amendments thereto, nomination from the awards must be withdrawn with immediate effect by sending email request from the official email ID of the organisation. No such request shall be entertained after the last date of application
  • We will respect as confidential any financial/confidential data submitted unless given express permission to use it. If there is a particular part or your entry that you would prefer not to be used then please clarify this at the time of your entry

Supporting Documents Submission:

  • During the process of evaluation and/or notifying the finalists of the mentioned categories, IDA has the right to ask for further documents supporting your nomination or request for evidential proof for further evaluation
  • IDA-EA 2024 Management has no obligation to screen the entry material in advance and is not responsible for monitoring entries for the purpose of preventing violation of intellectual property ownership rights, or violations of any law, rule or regulation
  • If IDA-EA 2024 Management is notified of submissions or materials that may not conform to the Terms, it may investigate the allegation and determine in good faith and in its sole discretion whether to eliminate such an entry from consideration
  • The IDA-EA 2024 Management has no liability or responsibility to Participants or other users of the Website for performance or non-performance of such activities

  • How do we enter the IDA-EA 2024?
    Please read our Entry Guidelines awards.indiadidac.org/ and fill the nomination form by the due date of submission. Please note that all entries must be submitted in English.
  • Who can apply for the IDA Education Awards 2024?
    IDA Education Awards recognise pioneering initiatives taken by educational institutions/organisations with the focus on factors enhancing the student learning outcomes. All Pre-Primary Schools, Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Colleges, Universities and Other Education & Training Institutes operating only in India and having a registered entity in the country can participate for the Awards. The Awards are not applicable to individual educators and corporate entities.
  • Can I refer another Institution?
    An Institution can nominate a peer School/College/Education institute if they believe that the nominee deserves recognition. The nominator should be familiar with the nominee’s work and accomplishments. The nominator can put across the Institution Name and its details to the Awards Management Team for further processing.
  • Is there any Entry Fee for the Nomination to IDA Education Awards 2024?
    There is no entry fee or any financials charged for the nominations of IDA Education awards 2024. However, the shortlisted Finalists will be expected to make their individual arrangements towards the event travel & stay expenses.
  • Which Category / Categories should we enter our Institution in?
    Entrants should choose those categories where your institution makes the most impact. Nomination can be entered in more than one category as long the applications are tailored specifically to show evidence of their relevance to each. The judges are not expecting your entry to meet every criterion: rather than trying to ‘tick all the boxes’, you should clearly outline in your entry form which criteria your institution is designed to meet.   • Can we nominate in more than one Category?
    Yes, a participant may enter as many categories as desired as long as the applications are tailored specifically to show evidence of their relevance to each. Please complete and submit one form per awards category and sub-category. If you are applying for more than one sub - category, please upload your supporting documentation as part of each nomination for the respective sub-category.
  • Can we enter the same submission in more than one Category?
    No, please choose the most appropriate category for each entry as submissions should be based on the selected category. All categories have different criteria for submissions. If you are unsure which category to choose, please contact [email protected] to discuss your options.
  • How will we know that our entry has been safely received?
    Once you have submitted your entry, you will receive an email confirming your submission. If you do not receive your confirmation email, please write to [email protected].
  • What happens if we don’t receive a confirmation email after sending in my entry?
    Please email your query to [email protected] and you will be assisted by someone from the IDA-EA 2024 Management Team.
  • What is the deadline for submitting nominations?
    All entries must be completed and submitted online by 12th July 2024.
  • What happens after the submission of our nomination?

  • Who is judging our Nominations?
    The IDA Education Awards 2024 are adjudged on the basis of performance in operational benchmarks along with qualitative factors such as Documentation & Supporting Evidence provided against each chosen category, judging parameters as listed on the awards website and industry good-will amongst others. To provide a good and solid foundation to the IDA Education Awards, we have a strong and expert jury panel which comprises of highly respected and experienced Indian & Global personalities in the field of education and eminent Industry leaders.
  • When will the Finalists be announced?
    The Finalists shall be declared on 20 August 2024. All the Short-listed finalists will be contacted via E-mail by IDA-EA 2024 Management team to inform them of their shortlisting.
  • If we are not shortlisted, can we get feedback on our entry?
    Unfortunately, due to the high volume of entries, we are not able to give feedback on individual entries.
  • When will we find out if we have won?
    The Winners will be announced on 18 September 2024 at the IDA-EA 2024 Ceremony to be held at Yashobhoomi, India International Convention & Expo Centre, New Delhi.
